Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and PreviewThumbnail.com ("we", "us") for using the website at previewthumbnail.com (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. What the Service does

The Service shows how your thumbnail and title might look in a YouTube-style feed next to other videos. Previews are a design aid: they aim to be accurate, but YouTube changes its layout often and shows feeds differently on different devices, so we can't guarantee a preview matches what any particular viewer will see.

2. Not affiliated with YouTube

PreviewThumbnail.com is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by YouTube or Google. YouTube and related marks are trademarks of Google LLC. The example videos, thumbnails, titles and channel pictures shown around your preview belong to their respective owners and are displayed only for reference.

3. Accounts

You can use the free tier without an account. To buy a plan you must sign in with a Google account. You're responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to your Google account secure. You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country, to use the Service.

When you sign in, the Service uses the YouTube API Services to read your YouTube channel's name and picture. By signing in, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service.

4. Free tier

Free users get a limited number of previews per day (currently 5). We may change free limits at any time.

5. Paid plans and billing

• Monthly ($2.99) and yearly ($30) plans are subscriptions that renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. Prices are in US dollars and may not include applicable taxes.
• Lifetime ($60) is a one-time payment that gives unlimited previews for as long as the Service is offered.
• Payments are processed by Stripe and subject to Stripe's terms.
• You can cancel a subscription at any time from "Manage subscription" in your account menu. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've already paid for, and you won't be charged again.
• If we change subscription prices, we'll tell you in advance and the new price will apply from your next billing period.

6. Refunds

Because Pro starts working immediately, payments are generally non-refundable and we don't give refunds for partial billing periods. If something went wrong, for example you were charged by mistake or the Service didn't work for you, email us within 14 days of the charge and we'll make it right. Nothing in these terms limits refund rights you have under the law where you live.

7. Your content

You keep all rights to the thumbnails and titles you use. Previews are built in your browser; we keep a small copy of each tested thumbnail and its title for 24 hours, only to understand usage and prevent abuse, then delete it (see our Privacy Policy). You give us permission to store that copy for that purpose. Only use images and text you have the right to use, and don't use the Service with content that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, or is sexually explicit involving minors.

8. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the Service. In particular, don't try to get around usage limits or payment, interfere with or overload the Service, access other people's accounts or data, scrape the Service in bulk, or resell it without our permission. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

9. Changes and availability

We may update, change or discontinue features of the Service. We try to keep it running smoothly but don't promise it will always be available or error-free. If we ever shut the Service down, we'll give reasonable notice and stop charging subscriptions.

10. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We don't guarantee that using the Service will improve your video's views, click-through rate or performance.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or lost profits or revenue, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we'll give notice on the site. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
